PREVIEW: Blackpool v Leyton Orient

Posted: Fri 05 May 2017

All the information ahead of tomorrow's final day trip to Blackpool

We will be hoping to end our Sky Bet League Two campaign on a positive note this weekend when we make the trip Blackpool.

With our fate already sealed for next season, manager Omer Riza will be looking for his players to bounce back from last Saturday’s 3-1 home defeat to Colchester United.

Tarique Fosu had given the U’s a first half lead, before Sandro Semedo levelled in spectacular fashion with a scorching strike from the best part of 30-yards.

Orient were unable to hold on for a point however as second half strikes from Chris Porter and Macauley Bonne secured the points for the Essex outfit.

Blackpool go into the final game of the season occupying the final play-off spot, with Gary Bowyer’s side needing a win to confirm their place.

The Tangerines will be keen to keep their fate in their own hands on Saturday, given the fact the play-off chase is wide open with Carlisle, Stevenage, Cambridge, Colchester, Wycombe and Mansfield all in with a chance of claiming the final two places this weekend.

Blackpool will also be looking to return to winning ways themselves, having suffered a 1-0 reverse at Notts County last weekend when Richard Duffy’s 34th minute goal proved to be the difference at Meadow Lane.

TEAM NEWS

The O’s are expected to take a near identical squad to the one selected against Colchester United last Saturday.

Paul McCallum returned to the starting XI at the Matchroom Stadium, and the forward will be looking to lead the line at Bloomfield Road again tomorrow.

Sandro Semedo also took up a slightly different position by moving into the centre of midfield, and following a promising display which included his third goal of the season manager Omer Riza could be set to deploy the 20-year-old in the same role again.

The O’s will however continue to be without Alex Cisak, Charlie Grainger, Yvan Erichot, Nicky Hunt, Nigel Atangana, Liam Kelly, Sammy Moore, Robbie Weir and Gavin Massey.

SKY BET BETTING (correct at the time of writing)

The O’s are huge outsiders to gain three points at 9/1 in their final game in Sky Bet League Two.

Blackpool are seen as the odds-on favourites at 1/4 and the draw is priced at 5/1 with Sky Bet.

If you fancy that Orient can score one goal or more in this game that is priced at evens.
