ORIENT have today (Thursday) signed central midfielder Marvin Bartley on loan from Championship side Burnley.
The 27-year-old made has signed for an initial 28 days with a view to an extension and made 24 appearances for the Clarets last season having signed for them in January 2011 from AFC Bournemouth.
Bartley rose through the non-leagues before making his name at the Cherries where he made 130 appearances in a four-year spell between 2007 and 2011.
Orient manager Russell Slade said: “Marvin has been on our radar for some time and unfortunately he got injured during pre-season and he’s only been back this last week, so we’ve been waiting all this time to ensure that he’s over that injury and he’s ready to come out on loan.
“When he’s fit and he’s firing on all cylinders he’s got bundle of energy, is a really good athlete who can get up and down and travels well with the ball and breaks the play up, he’s very strong.”
Bartley will wear the number 21 during his time at the Club.
