O's players to take on Johnstone's Paint task

ON-SONG Leyton Orient will hope to carry their magnificent form into the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy ‘Paint Pot Challenge’.

The League 1 club  have are heading into the hectic Christmas programme in high spirits after reeling off eight consecutive victories in all competitions – including a 3-0 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy victory over Northampton on Wednesday which sealed their place in the Southern Area Semi-Finals.

And now the O’s are preparing to put their skills to the test in the ‘Paint Pot Challenge’s’ inaugural season

The unique test of accuracy will involve nine Orient players and their manager Russell Slade attempting to chip a ball from the corner of the 18-yard-box into a huge inflatable paint pot placed on the edge of the six-yard line.

Participants successful in chipping the ball into the paint pot for a perfect ‘lick’ will earn their team 10 points, while one point will be accumulated for each time the paint pot is ‘brushed.’

The Johnstone’s Paint Trophy team will be there to catch all the action on camera and the video will be uploaded to the official Johnstone’s Paint Trophy YouTube channel.

“Leyton Orient are on a fantastic run of form at the moment and I’m sure they will be hoping to translate that into the Paint Pot Challenge,” said Megan Esmond, Marketing Manager for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

The challenge has been launched to help celebrate Johnstone’s Paint’s leading vinyl matt emulsion.

The club with the most points at the end of the season will win £2,000 worth of Johnstone’s Paint product for a makeover, while the second and third teams will receive £1,000 and £500 worth of Johnstone’s Paint product respectively.
