ORIENT were made to pay the price for a poor first half performance as they slumped to their first defeat of 2010 at Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.

Tranmere stormed into a 2-0 lead before the break through goals from Ian Thomas-Moore and Marvin Sordell, and although Orient improved after half time they had given themselves too much to do.

Jonathan Téhoué's late goal gave the visitors hope, but Tranmere held on to end Orient's six-match unbeaten run.
