MARTIN LING hailed Orient's performance at Crewe as their best of the season after they swept the struggling Railwaymen aside on Saturday.
Second half goals from Tamika Mkandawire and Adam Boyd gave Orient their third consecutive victory and Ling was delighted with their display.
"if I had to pick one as the best we've had, today's would be that one," said the O's manager.
"We controlled the game after half time and you could see the confidence flow through us after we scored.
"There were two quality goals. Tam went up for a corner and looked like a striker when the ball broke for him.
"Boydy did what Boydy does best. He picked the ball up on the half way line and hit a superb shot. That's the kind of thing that gets you out of trouble when you're at the bottom of the league, so well done to those two today."
The three point haul lifts the east Londoners out of the drop zone and Ling says that will be a big psychological boost.
"It's huge to get out of the relegation zone," he added. "There's still a long way to go, but it's nice to be out of that bottom four with two big games coming up against Millwall and Huddersfield.
"We're playing with confidence and it's three clean sheets in a row too."
