O's Swoop For Yeovil's Terry
ORIENT have completed the signing of Yeovil Town midfielder Paul Terry.
The 28-year-old Londoner came through a medical at Brisbane Road on Thursday afternoon and has put pen to paper on a one-year contract.
Terry, who previously played for Dagenham & Redbridge, spent four years at Yeovil Town, helping them to promotion from League Two.
He suffered a cruciate ligament injury midway though last season, but has now recovered and will be ready for the start of the new campaign.
"I'm delighted that Paul has decided to join us," O's boss Martin Ling said. "He has played for two years at this level with Yeovil so he knows what League One football is all about.
"He was offered a new deal at Yeovil, but he was keen to move back to London and he has now signed a one-year contract with us.
"He has played most of his football at central midfield, but he spent a whole season for Yeovil at right back so he strengthens the squad in more than one area.
"Paul suffered a bad injury in December, but he is ready to make his return and I'm sure he will have a big impact here.
"He received all his treatement at Chelsea, so he's had the best medical treatment in the world and he came through the medical with flying colours."
