90:00 (01:09) FINAL WHISTLE - LEYTON ORIENT 0 - 2 SOUTHAMPTON. An improved second half performance from the O's see them keep the score at 2-0, but Southampton's first half blast was more than enough to secure the points.

87:56 HIT POST - PATERSON: Southampton sub Matthew Paterson runs through on goal after latching onto Simon Gillett's defence-splitting pass.  He looks to place the ball beyond Glenn Morris, but strikes the far upright and knocks the rebound over the vacant net.

49:50 SAVE - MORRIS: The visitors' Simon Gillett beats the offside trap to run onto Andy Giallombardo's long ball out of defence.  Gillett finds himself one-on-one with Glenn Morris, but the O's keeper stands up well to block.

47:42 CHANCE - SAGANOWSKI: Southampton respond with a decent break and Marek Saganowski fires over the bar from the edge of the box after being fed by David McGoldrick.

45:52 CHANCE - ECHANOMI: Efe Echanomi tries to give Orient the perfect start to the second period, but he drills over with his left foot, after his poor touch from Jabo Ibehre's pass inadvertently took him inside left back Andy Giallombardo.

45:00 (01:16) HALF TIME - LEYTON ORIENT 0 - 2 SOUTHAMPTON: Southampton lead 2-0 at the break and Orient will be relieved to hear the half-time whistle as the margin of the visitors' advantage could have been far greater. Adam Lallana scored both goals - the first to finish off a fine counter, and the second a deft touch over Glenn Morris - while Cedric Baseya had an effort chalked off for offside and Marek Saganowski hit the bar.  Jabo Ibehre came closest for Orient and they will be hoping for better after the break.

The visitors make one change at the break, with Jeffrey Imudia replacing Oliver Lancashire at centre-back.

42:51 HIT BAR - SAGANOWSKI: Marek Saganowski tricks his way past Aiden Palmer inside the penalty area before crashing an effort against the crossbar from 10 yards.  Cedric Baseya flicks the rebound over.

40:01 CHANCE - LICKA: The chances keep on coming and Mario Licka fails to keep his volley down after Marek Saganowski gets in down the left to stand up a lovely cross to the far post.

31:19 DISALLOWED GOAL - BASEYA: Orient are spared a third by the offside flag, with Cedric Baseya's effort being ruled out after he reacted first to convert when Simon Gillett's shot hit the post.

14:48 GOAL - LALLANA: Southampton make their pressure count with a fine goal on the counter.  David McGoldrick feeds Marek Saganowski down the right.  Sam Oji does well to hold the visiting striker up, but he finds Adam Lallana inside the box, who passes into the far corner for the opening goal.

13:05 SAVE - MORRIS: O's keeper Glenn Morris is called into action for the first time, diving low to his right to field Mario Licka's free-kick following a foul on the Czech winger by Wayne Gray.

10:55 CHANCE - LALLANA: Simon Gillett and Mario Licka play a short corner before the former feeds Adam Lallana inside the box.  The Saints winger shoots for the far post, but can't hit the target from an unfavourable angle.
