JJ MELLIGAN says Orient will go into the Easter Weekend full of confidence following back-to-back wins over Swindon and Millwall.

The O's have hauled themselves back into play-off contention with that six-point haul and Melligan believes they can kick on with a run of good form.

Automatic promotion-chasing Carlisle come to town this Saturday, but the 26-year-old winger says a meeting with the Cumbrians holds no fears for Orient.

He said: "The last two results were massive for us.  They've done wonders for our confidence and everyone's buzzing again. We're right back in the hunt for a play-off place and we're desperate to get there.

"It would be a massive achievement for us - we were one of the favourites to go down at the start of the season, but we've proven the bookies wrong and we'd love to finish the job by winning promotion now.

"Today's game is hugely important for both sides. Knowing John Ward [Carlisle manager] as I do from our Cheltenham days, I know he won't want to come all the way down from Carlisle to get beaten, so they will be up for the contest and we will have to be too.

"Carlisle are going for automatic promotion whilst we're looking for the play-offs, so both teams need the points and it should be a cracking game.

"But it's one that we'll go in to full of confidence following two wins in a row and it would certainly be nice to make it three wins in a row!"
