JJ MELLIGAN will miss out on a return to former club Cheltenham Town after picking up a three-game ban for his sending off in Saturday's defeat to Carlisle.

The 26-year-old wingman saw red for a first half challenge on Carlisle's Evan Horwood and he will now have to serve a three-match ban for the offence of serious foul play.

He will miss the Easter Monday trip to Cheltenham Town, as well as an away game at Port Vale and the April 5 visit of Leeds United.
