Date Set For Spurs Friendly

Posted on: Wed 07 May 2008

ORIENT will welcome a host of Barclays Premier League stars to Brisbane Road when they face Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday July 30.

The White Hart Lane club's reserve side will once again be based in E10 next term, while this will be the second summer in succession that the clubs have locked horns in a friendly match.

The Carling Cup winners are currently 11th in the Premier League, but could secure a top-ten finish should results go their way on the final day of the season.

They defeated the O's 4-2 in warming up for this campaign and this match, which will kick-off at 7.45pm, promises to be equally exciting.

Ticket prices have been set at £15 for adults, £10 concessions and £5 accompanied under 16s, but are not yet on sale.  Keep checking leytonorient.com for details on when they become available.

O's boss Martin Ling said: "We're delighted to host Tottenham for another friendly in July.

"This is obviously a game to look forward to - against a Premiership side in front of a full house, and it will certainly be a testing match.

"It is good to play that level of opposition, and alongside the other friendlies we've lined up so far, we have a good blend for the pre-season campaign."
