DANNY GRANVILLE today became Orient's first summer signing and here is all you need to know about the Brisbane Road new boy.

Danny began his career at Cambridge United, where he made 114 appearances before earning a £300,000 move to Premier League Chelsea in March 1997.

His first full season at Chelsea ended with Danny picking up a UEFA Cup Winners' Cup medal in the Blues' 1-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart.

However, he was on the move to Leeds United for £1.6million in June 1998, before signing for Manchester City for a £1million fee.

After spending a month on loan at Norwich City, the left back was signed by Crystal Palace for £500,000 in December 2001.

Granville spent five-and-a-half years at Selhurst Park earning promotion to the top flight with a 2004 play-off final victory over West Ham United.

He played 138 games in total for the Eagles and joined Colchester last summer.

Danny played just 20 games as the U's suffered relegation to League One and he will be looking to bounce back with the O's this term.

Islington-born Granville also has three England U21 caps to his name.
