JJ MELLIGAN has been taken off the transfer list after impressing at the start of pre-season training.

O's boss Martin Ling made Melligan available for transfer at the end of the 2007/08 campaign, but after performing well both in training and the friendlies against KFCO Wilrijk and Boston United, Ling has removed the winger from the list.

"JJ has come back to pre-season with the bit between his teeth and he's been looking like the player I signed last summer," he said.

"If you ask me who has been as good as we've had in training so far, I'd have to say JJ Melligan, so I'm pleased with that.

"He's coming off the transfer list and I hope he can take that in to our League games."

26-year-old Melligan was a summer 2007 signing from Cheltenham Town, and he scored three goals in 38 appearances last term.
