SIMON DAWKINS has recovered from his ankle injury and is set to make his first appearance in O's colours in tonight's friendly at Dagenham & Redbridge.

20-year-old forward Dawkins joined Orient on a six-month loan deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur at the start of the month, but has not made a friendly appearance after turning his ankle in training early last week.

The injury was not serious though, and he will be fit to play some part at Victoria Road tonight.

However, he will not be joined by Ryan Jarvis, who is suffering from a slight groin strain. The summer signing will be absent tonight but is expected to be fit for Saturday's trip to Aldershot.

Two more players missing for the trip to Dagenham are Tamika Mkandawire (groin) and Alton Thelwell (knee), but both are making good progress and will resume full training soon.
