ADAM BOYD scored Orient's winner from the spot in their opening day success over Hereford United and immediately set himself a target of 20 goals.
The 26-year-old frontman found the net 17 times during his debut season in E10, but he want to improve on that this term, and Saturday was the perfect start.
He said: "I want to get 20 goals this year, that's the target I've set myself, and if I can get there quickly I'll set a new one.
"There's 19 to go now, so hopefully I can keep chipping away at that up until Christmas and keep it going throughout the season.
"We said before the match that it didn't matter how we played, it was just about getting three points.
"We did that, and on a personal note it's always good to get off the mark as quick as you can, so I was pleased to score as it takes a bit of pressure off yourself.
"If you go three, four or five games in to the season without scoring, you start to think it won't come, so it's nice to score early and hopefully it's the first of many."
Boyd may well have got his name on the scoresheet earlier, when his failure to get a touch on JJ Melligan's cross deceived away goalkeeper Darren Randolph and allowed the Irishman's effort to drift in.
But he certainly made sure of his goal with a well-taken penalty just before half time and the former Hartlepool man said his side did well to come from behind.
He continued: "We showed character and the commitment and desire we had to come back from 1-0 down was clear.
"For the first one, I tried to get across and get a touch on it. Luckily, the keeper was anticipating that, so he's planted his feet and that was it.
"It was great to score just before half-time and that really hurt them."
