O's Duo Await Scan Results

Posted on: Tue 26 Aug 2008

DANNY GRANVILLE and Wayne Gray will today undergo scans to assess the severity of their groin and knee injuries.

The O's duo limped out of Saturday's 0-0 draw with Carlisle United after suffering the injuries and will find out this week how long they will need to spend on the sidelines.

Orient manager Martin Ling said: "Danny and Wayne will have scans today and we'll have a clearer picture about their injuries by the end of the week.

"Danny has been suffering from pain in the groin muscle for the last three games, so like Tam [Mkandawire] we will now get him 100% fit before considering him for selection again.

"Wayne's knee has swollen up - it's at a different site to the knee injury he suffered at the end of last season, but the fact that it is swollen tells us there is something wrong and the scans will tell us more."
