SIMON DAWKINS will miss Saturday's trip to Walsall after suffering an ankle injury in Tuesday's 4-2 victory over Southend United.

The 20-year-old striker, on a six-month loan from Tottenham Hotspur, had to be substituted just before half time at Roots Hall after suffering the injury.

Dawkins was starting in O's colours for the second time after recovering from a previous ankle problem, but he will not add to that tally at the weekend.

O's boss Martin Ling said: "Simon won't be available for this Saturday - we don't know the full extent of it yet, but it's a twist to the ankle and it's the same one that he's suffered two twists to already this season.

"We've got to make sure we get that right and he will definitely miss Saturday's game."
