TRIALIST James Dayton grabbed a late equaliser as Orient's reserves twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Luton Town on Thursday.
The left winger capped an impressive display with his 88th minute equaliser after Luton looked to be taking the points home through Liam Toomey's thumping finish four minutes earlier.
But Orient were industrious throughout in a lively contest and their point was more than justified.
Orient began well and Dayton had an early effort saved by Luton goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson at his near post.
With 11 minutes on the clock, Dayton was involved again, making progress in the left channel before crossing to Bradley Gray, who laid off for Matt Hall to drill wide.
Tomlinson did well to deny Louis Crowther in a one-on-one situation after 22 minutes, but it was Luton who landed the first blow when Aidan Quinn finished following a quick break six minutes later.
Orient regrouped and Gray forced a good save from Tomlinson after Dayton set him up four minutes before the break.
The pair combined again two minutes later as Orient drew level before the break, with Dayton crossing well for Gray to flick a header beyond Tomlinson.
Orient started the second half on top too and another trialist, left back Fabruce Kasula-Kasiama smashed a long range effort onto the crossbar after 52 minutes.
Luton threatened on a rare excursion into Orient territory three minutes later, Quinn shooting straight at O's stopper Jack Giddens after Harry Beautyman gave the ball away to Scott Sinclair.
Normal service was quickly resumed and Tomlinson showed a strong hand to beat out Jake Argent's effort after he ran forcefully towards goal on 73.
Tomlinson saved from Gray once more ten minutes from time, but it looked as though Luton would steal the points when Toomey took his chance confidently after a defensive lapse left him in the clear with just six minutes to play.
But Orient weren't beaten yet and they earned a draw at the death when Dayton slotted home after Tomlinson saved from Kasula-Kasiama.
