ORIENT'S Coca-Cola League 1 trip to Southend United will now take place on Friday September 4, and not Saturday September 5 as originally scheduled.

The O's have contested Friday night derby duels at Roots Hall on a couple of occasions in recent years, with John Mackie's headed goal giving the Londoners a memorable 1-0 win over their Essex rivals in the 2004/05 season.

However, their last Friday night trip to the coast didn't prove so successful, with Martin Ling's side going down to a 3-0 defeat to the Shrimpers last season.

The game will now kick-off at 7.45pm and ticket details will be released closer to the date of the fixture.
