GERAINT WILLIAMS refused to read too much into the result as Orient went down to defeat in their final pre-season friendly on Saturday.
A last minute Scott Griffiths goal was enough to give League 2 Dagenham & Redbridge a 1-0 victory over the O's, but Williams believes his side are well set for their season's opener at Bristol Rovers next week.
"We've seen some good things over the pre-season," he said. "Everyone's fit and that's what this time of year is for - and hopefully Adam Chambers will catch up.
"It has been a mixed bag results wise, but we've had some good performances going forward.
"We've scored lots of goals and we've let in goals. Today we were better defensively, but we didn't get it right at the other end.
"We need to put the two together at Bristol Rovers, but we have had signs at both ends that we can be that good with both sides.
"We were disappointed to concede right at the death today. I thought we looked very solid defensively, so it was disappointing to concede with the last kick of the game from a corner because we don't like losing games.
"So overall I think we did well defensively today, but we weren't so good on the ball. Last week we moved the ball well, but Dagenham made it more like a league game by shutting us down well.
"We didn't create as much as I would have liked and we have to get both sides of the game right next week.
