GERAINT WILLIAMS is sweating on the fitness of O's duo Jamie Jones and Ben Chorley ahead of Friday night's trip to Southend United.
The pair missed last Saturday's draw with Carlisle United with hip and hamstring injuries respectively and they will both be assessed on the day of the game.
O's boss Williams said: "Jamie took a bad knock on his hip and that's settling down bit-by-bit so we'll have a look at that today.
"Ben's started to do a bit of work on the training ground - today's match might come round slightly too soon for him but we'll see."
Definitely missing are Sean Thornton, who recently underwent surgery on a knee cartilage injury, and Jason Demetriou, who is currently away with Cyprus on international duty.
However, new loan signing Kristian O'Leary is fit and available for selection and fellow midfielder Adam Chambers is also pushing for a start after returning from his calf problem with substitute outings against Stoke and Carlisle.
Williams continued: "Kristian adds experience and know-how to the squad. He's a good character and with both Sean and Jason out, it was vital that we got someone in for the competition.
"Chambo is coming from injury and Kristian hasn't played an awful lot of football, so it's important that we get those two together. It may be that they have to share the workload a bit while they get fit, but who knows, they might be pushing for starts in their own right and I'd like to think they will be.
