Demetriou - It Would Be A Great Time To Turn It Around

Posted on: Thu 24 Sep 2009

JASON DEMETRIOU says Saturday's London derby duel with Millwall would be the perfect time to start putting their disappointing start to the season behind them.

The O's have taken just six points from their opening eight League One fixtures but Demetriou remains convinced that they can climb the table quickly and is desperate to give their season a kick-start with victory over the Lions.

He said: "It's a derby game and it will be a good occasion. From the first whistle and the first tackle everyone will be up for it. We'll get the crowd on our side and will be positive as we look for the three points.

"We always look forward to derby matches and we couldn't have asked for a better game for us to turn it around.

"It's good when the bigger sides come to us as they bring a good crowd with them and it makes the whole place erupt

"We played well against Charlton in our last derby here and I felt we were very unlucky to lose - in fact we should have won it.

"You raise your game for it and it would be great to get the confidence boost of three points, especially as results haven't gone as we would have wanted so far."

Tickets for Saturday's mouthwatering derby duel are on sale now. Call 0871 310 1883* or visit the Oliver Road ticket office between 9.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday to purchase.
