ORIENT boss Geraint Williams is hopeful that goalkeeper Jamie Jones will be fit enough to take on Wycombe Wanderers on Saturday.

The O's stopper suffered a blow to the head during Tuesday's defeat at Norwich City and looked to be heading for an early exit from the action at Carrow Road.

But he was able to continue following treatment and Williams hopes he will be ready for the trip to Adams Park.

"He had a bad head after the game," said Williams. "Hopefully it will settle down - he'll see the doc and make sure everything's okay.

"He's a tough lad and we're hoping to have him available for Saturday."

Stephen Purches (cheekbone), Sean Thornton (knee) and Adam Chambers (calf) are all sidelined, however, and Williams gave an update as to their progress.

He added: "Purch is still trying to get on with his mask. It doesn't feel quite right at the moment so obviously he's not comfortable right now.

"Sean is working hard on his rehab, while Adam has started running again as well."
