Jones Recovering After Head Injury

Posted on: Sat 10 Oct 2009

JAMIE JONES is recovering after losing consciousness early in Orient's 1-0 defeat to Colchester United on Saturday.

The O's keeper was knocked out after receiving a blow to the head from Ben Chorley in a first minute goalmouth scramble and was stretchered off the pitch.

He was taken to hospital, but looks to be fine after coming round.

"He was knocked unconscious, but we're hopeful everything is okay," said O's boss Geraint Williams.

"He's come round and everything seems fine, but obviously you have to be careful with these things and we'll keep an eye on him."
