LUKE SUMMERFIELD believes his second month at Brisbane Road could prove even more fruitful than his first.
The 21-year-old midfielder, on loan from Championship side Plymouth Argyle, played a crucial role in helping the O's to three wins from five League games since his arrival but he says they're not finished there.
Orient travel to Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon and Summerfield, having this week extended his loan spell at Brisbane Road, is eyeing a good run of form.
"It was a simple decision to stay for another month," he said. "I've been playing in all the games and we've been doing well, so I'm looking forward to staying at Orient for longer and hopefully that can continue.
"I needed a run of games, especially given the way I was in and out of the side at Plymouth earlier in the season.
"I've not just come here for the games for myself though, I want to help Orient. We got some great results in my first month here and I want that to carry on now."
Summerfield was impressed by the character and determination on display in last weekend's victory over Brentford and he believes that will stand them in good stead for the trip to the Galpharm Stadium.
He continued: "We've been working hard as a whole unit and last week was a little more special because we came from behind and showed the grit we needed to come through and get the three points.
"We're looking at Saturday's game positively - we'll go up to Huddersfield in a good frame of mind, hopefully we'll play with a good team shape and come away with some points.
"It'll be a good test for us, but we've done really well in some tough away games this year, so we're looking forward to this one too."
