Tam Banned For One Game

Posted on: Mon 07 Dec 2009

TAMIKA MKANDAWIRE will serve a one-match ban after being sent off in Orient's 3-2 defeat at Swindon Town on Saturday.

The O's defender saw red three minutes from time for fouling Swindon striker Charlie Austin as he broke clear of the visitors' defence, denying the Robins man a clear goalscoring opportunity.

That offence carries an automatic one-match suspension and former Hereford man Mkandawire will now miss the visit of Milton Keynes Dons on December 12 as a result.

Mkandawire is the second Orient player to be sent off this season, following JJ Melligan's red card at Norwich City in September.
