ORIENT have completed the signing of French striker Jonathan Téhoué on a contract until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old forward, who has top flight experience in his native France, Belgium and Turkey, signs after impressing in a trial period at the club and will bolster manager Geraint Williams' striking options.

The O's boss said: "We had Jonathan in before Christmas and he has impressed us in training and in the reserve game he played.

"He has missed playing football recently due to the contract dispute he had in Turkey, but that has been sorted now and we're delighted to bring him to the club.

"Jonathan has a lot of attributes to bring to us - he's strong, has a good leap and a good strike on goal too.

"We're looking forward to working with him and him giving us another option up front."

Paris-born Téhoué arrives in east London with an impressive pedigree, having played at the highest level in three European countries.

His professional career began with Corsican side SC Bastia, for whom he played seven Ligue Un matches in the 2003/04 season.

Injury disrupted his time at Bastia, and he moved to Cyprus to join APOEL in 2005 before returning to northern Europe with a spell at Belgian side Royal Excelsior Virton in the second half of the 2005/06 season.

His impressive form at Excelsior earned him a move to top flight side FC Brussels in the summer of 2006. Turkish Süper Lig club Kasımpaşaspor then came calling the following close season, and he also played for Konyaspor before a contract dispute ended his time in Turkey.

He looked set to join Huddersfield Town last season, but the ongoing dispute with Konyaspor scuppered a move to England at that time.

But having now secured his release from his Turkish club and put pen-to-paper on a contract with the O's, he will be looking to kick on again and make a name for himself in England.
