THE reserves saw their six-match unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of Brentford at Brisbane Road on Tuesday.
Alan Bennett, Lionel Ainsworth and Sean Lucien were all on target for the Bees as they eased to a 3-0 victory over a young O's side.
Jonathan Téhoué got another 45 minutes under his belt as he continues to build his match fitness, but Brentford's greater experience told.
Orient could not have got off to a worse start, falling behind inside the first minute when they couldn't get a corner clear and Bennett fired past Jack Giddens from 15 yards.
The hosts threatened for the first time when Jonathan Téhoué's bouncing free kick was turned around the post by Bees stopper Simon Moore.
But Brentford continued to look dangerous going forward and former O's midfielder David Hunt shot straight at Giddens after Ainsworth crossed low from the left.
At the other end Adrian Patulea fired inches wide after holding off Bennett inside the area, but Brentford reached the break with their lead intact.
They didn't have to wait long after half time to make it 2-0, Ainsworth cutting in from the right to net from close range.
The Bees were now in control and Ben Strevens almost added a third when his header was touched on to the bar by Giddens.
Midway through the half, Brentford sub Lucien made the points safe, confidently drilling home after Jake Reeves robbed Harry Beautyman in midfield and surged forward before playing Lucien in.
Orient twice came close to a response was when Pires swivelled and shot straight at Moore from 18 yards, and then the Bees stopper touched Patulea's free kick over, but Brentford were convincing winners.
