ORIENT skipper Stephen Purches has been named in the Football League's official League One Team of the Week after he helped the Londoners to a 0-0 draw against Swindon Town.
The O's produced a sound defensive performances to hold the Robins - who included 35-goal strike duo Billy Paynter and Charlie Austin - at bay.
It was the fourth clean sheet kept by Geraint Williams' side in 2010 and their second home draw in succession against teams battling for promotion to the Championship.
Purches was pleased with his team's solidity but thought they could have taken all three points.
He said: "Swindon are the in-form team in the league and we proved that we're more than a match. Jamie Jones made a great save at the end there but it was probably the only save he really had to make
"But I think we're a little disappointed that we didn't win. If you sit down and analyse the game, overall we came out probably more disappointed than they were. But we're pleased with the 90 minute performance, and on another day those chances would have gone in."
Swindon goalkeeper David Lucas was also named in the division's weekly select side, for his part in keeping the O's out.
