SEAN THORNTON has been named in the Football League's official League One Team of the Week after his two-goal blast gave the O's a 2-0 victory over Walsall on Saturday.
Thornton, 26, was on target twice in ten second half minutes to end Orient's seven-game wait for a win and extend their buffer over the League One relegation zone to eight points.
The Irishman's double took his goalscoring tally to the season to five and manager Geraint Williams was delighted with his contribution.
He said: "It was an excellent contribution from Sean and we all know that's the quality he has when he's on his game.
"When he's right he's as good as any midfield player in his league and him and Chambo complement each other well."
