RYAN JARVIS is out to delay Norwich City's promotion party when the O's come up against his former club on Tuesday night.
23-year-old striker Jarvis rose up through Norwich's youth system and played 38 games for the Canaries prior to joining the O's in the summer of 2008.
Norwich stand on the verge of promotion to the Championship, but Jarvis believes Orient can take heart from Saturday's 0-0 draw at Exeter and head into Tuesday's game with a positive mindset.
"I'm looking forward to Tuesday's game," he said. "There has been a change of manager since I left and lots of things are different, but I still have friends at Norwich and it's always nice to play against your friends.
"It did come as a shock seeing them drop down to League One so soon after being in the Premier League, but when you look at Charlton, Leeds and Southampton all being down here too it shows it can happen.
"They have done brilliantly this season and look like they're going to win the league, but hopefully we can get a result and give them a few nerves as they go into their last four matches.
"We've tended to raise our game when we've played the bigger teams this season. Everyone is on their toes, looks a bit brighter and gets a lift from the atmosphere that surrounds it. Brisbane Road isn't an easy place for teams to come to when everyone's on song, so we need it to be one of those days on Tuesday."
