RYAN JARVIS has scored some important goals in his two-and-a-half years with the O's, but none top Saturday's strike against Wycombe Wanderers.
The 23-year-old striker bagged a hat-trick at Millwall in the 2006/07 season, which helped Orient out of the drop zone, and he also set Russell Slade's men on their way to all three points with a goal against Stockport three weeks ago.
And with tension mounting in E10 last Saturday, as Orient and Wycombe were locked at 0-0 and results elsewhere going against them, Jarvis picked the perfect moment to strike.
His left-foot bullet broke the deadlock with 12 minutes to go as Orient struck late on to secure their League One status, and Jarvis was delighted to complete the job with a week to spare.
He said: "I was buzzing when the goal went in. My legs were starting to go, I was very tired, but I got through on goal and thought I'm just going to hit it as hard as I can.
"I caught it really sweetly with my left foot and I was really chuffed with it.
"It's a massive relief because you don't want to go into the last game of the season having to win it to stay up.
"It was awesome that we got a result on Saturday, and great work from the lads over the last month. We've put in some great performances and got a few great results as well.
"Saturday was probably more nervy for the fans than for us, but we dug in and got the result we needed, and very much wanted."
