RYAN JARVIS has become the first of Orient's out-of-contract players to commit their future to the club, putting pen-to-paper on a new one-year deal.
Jarvis, 23, scored eight goals in helping the O's to retain their League One status last term and was rewarded with the offer of new terms.
He will now begin a third season as an Orient player having joined the club in the summer of 2008 after being released by Norwich City.
The Fakenham-born striker also enjoyed a loan spell in E10 during the 2006/07 season and has scored 16 goals for the club, including the crucial strike that sent Orient on the way to victory over Wycombe in the penultimate game of last season.
He told leytonorient.com: "I'm really pleased to have signed my new contract - I always wanted to stay at Leyton Orient.
"Last season was a big improvement for me after a disappointing first season, and there's definitely more to come this year.
"The new manager has come in and done brilliantly and I'm sure we can push higher up the table next season.
"I'm looking forward to being a part of that and competing with the other strikers for a place up front."
O's boss Russell Slade is still waiting for decisions on their new contract offers from Tamika Mkandawire, Adam Chambers, Scott McGleish, Jason Demetriou, Charlie Daniels and Cestor Mike.
