THE CLUB understand that Jason Demetriou has agreed to sign for Cypriot side AEK Larnaca.

Demetriou, 22, came through the ranks at Brisbane Road and made 167 appearances for the club after debuting during the 2005/06 promotion season.

Born in Newham, Demetriou won three international caps for Cyprus during the 2008/09 season and now looks set to take his club career to the Mediterranean island.

AEK Larnaca were promoted to the Cypriot top flight last season and are managed by former Manchester United player Jordi Cruyff.
