JAMIE JONES bounced back from the disappointment of Saturday's defeat to Yeovil in great style by playing a huge role in Tuesday night's win at Swindon.
Jones' error against the Glovers handed them their second goal in the O's 2-1 loss, but he more than made up for that at the County Ground, saving from David Prutton and Charlie Austin to ensure the Londoners would progress through to the second round of the Carling Cup.
His ability to put Saturday's mistake out of his mind was reflected in his teammates' character to come back from a 1-0 deficit at Swindon and he was delighted to record a first win of the season.
"The boys showed great character to go to Swindon and get a great result," he said.
"We weren't happy with the way we played in the first half. We just had to show a little more bottle and belief in ourselves and we did that after half time.
"There was a good 25 minute spell in the second half and we got the two goals during that time.
"The manager gave us a good telling off at half time and he was right to. We had to get the ball down and play and we proved we could do it with the two goals we scored.
"I had to bounce back from Saturday - it was a big thing for me to go to Swindon and put a performance together.
"You have to have belief in your own ability. If you think you're going to make mistakes you will, so you have to go into every game full of confidence. I was like that on Tuesday and it showed in my performance."
Orient are back in action swiftly when they entertain Charlton Athletic in front of the Sky TV cameras and the 21-year-old goalkeeper is already looking forward to taking on the Addicks.
He added: "The boys are buzzing. Saturday was very disappointing for us, so to go back to the dressing room with a win under our belts was a great feeling.
"We went to Swindon and bounced back. Bring on Charlton now!
"Beating a team like Swindon does show what we're capable of. We've got a great squad here and we should have belief because we are a good side.
"Swindon isn't an easy place to go to and get a result, they were in the top six last year so it's always nice to go to teams like that and win."
