50 mins: BRIGHTON PENALTY MISS But the home side can't take advantage as Jamie Jones dives to the right to palm Glenn Murray's penalty away.
49 mins: PENALTY TO BRIGHTON An immediate chance for the Seagulls to hit back as Aaron Brown is penalised for felling Glenn Murray in the box. Brown escapes without picking up a second yellow.
47 mins: GOAL TO ORIENT What a start to the second period for the visitors. Matthew Spring delivers a free kick from a position in the left channel and Ryan Jarvis is left all alone to guide a header into the back of the net.
2021: Back underway for the second half with neither team having made a change.
2004: Orient withstand Brighton's late first half surge to take their lead into the break. After a quiet start, Orient came to life in a ten minute spell, taking the lead through Dean Cox, and the winger then striking the crossbar on his first return to his old club. Brighton have responded strongly, but Orient are holding firm and it's 1-0 to the visitors at half time.

43 mins: Brighton are upping the pressure now and Jamie Jones make a terrific save with his right foot to deny Ashley Barnes after he gets behind the O's backline and bursts clear.
40 mins: Albion are beginning to ask more questions and that's their best chance so far. Ashley Barnes drops his shoulder and evades Aaron Brown's attentions to reach Matt Sparrow's pass, but Jamie Jones drops low to his left to save smartly.
39 mins: Glenn Murray finds space in the box, but can't get the contact he wants on the volley following Marcos Painter's cross and the ball dribbles wide.
36 mins: Brighton have a chance to hit back as Inigo Calderon robs Elliot Omozusi on halfway. He knocks the ball up towards Glenn Murray on the edge of the box. Aaron Brown's clearing header only goes as far as Elliott Bennett 20 yards from goal, and his right footed effort drifts wide.
34 mins: Orient make a change as Jonathan Téhoué is suffering after taking a meaty challenge. His attempts to run it off have been unsuccessful and Alex Revell comes on to replace him.
30 mins: A really good spell this from the visitors and Stephen Dawson sends in another cross from the right. Ryan Jarvis pulls off his marker and swivels to volley at goal, but his shot is straight at Casper Ankergren and it's a comfortable save for the Albion keeper.
27 mins: The O's go close again as they work a short corner, with Dean Cox crossing from the left. Ryan Jarvis gets on the end of it but plants his header wide.
26 mins: The referee is getting card happy and Matthew Spring is the third O's man to go into the book. His offence is to take a free-kick too quickly.
24 mins: So close to 2-0 and so close to a second for Dean Cox. Lovely football from the O's ends with Stephen Dawson crossing from the right. The ball takes a flick off a defender's head and falls to the O's winger. who volleys and sees his shot crash back off the crossbar.
21 mins: GOAL TO ORIENT It's 1-0 to the visitors and it's former Brighton man Dean Cox who gets on the scoresheet. Stephen Dawson sprints down the left flank, gets to the by-line and checks back to feed back to Cox. He rides a tackle and sends in a shot from 20 yards that deflects off Tommy Elphick, loops over keeper Casper Ankergren and drops into the net.
20 mins: Another yellow card for an O's man as Aaron Brown goes in to referee Iain Williamson's book for a foul on Matthew Sparrow as he made a burst from midfield.
19 mins: Brighton force the first real chance as Glenn Murray uses his aerial power to knock a ball down in the box. Ashley Barnes diverts back to Murray and his shot slides wide of the mark.
11 mins: Elliot Omozusi picks up an early yellow card for a foul on Elliot Bennett in the right channel.
7 mins: Subdued start here, although Jamie Jones has just had to be sharp to come off his line and beat Ashley Barnes to Liam Bridcutt's through ball.

1908: This is the third year in succession that Orient and Brighton have been drawn together in this competition. The head-to-head record reads at one each with Albion having defeated the Londoners on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the 2008/09 season. Orient gained their revenge last term by beating Brighton 1-0 with Adrian Patulea netting the winner in the final minute. Russell Slade was then the manager of Brighton.
