THE countdown to Saturday's game against Huddersfield Town starts here.
Before every fixture, leytonorient.com will go down memory lane to highlight some classic encounters against our forthcoming opponents.
Next-up for Russell Slade's men is a Brisbane Road meeting with the Terriers, and we begin the countdown with a classic match from the early 1990s
Leyton Orient 4 - 1 Huddersfield Town, September 1 1992
Orient made a cracking start to the 1992/93 campaign, earning their third win from the first four matches with this destruction of Huddersfield Town.
Having beaten Brighton and Blackpool, as well as drawing away at Reading, Peter Eustace's men went into the Brisbane Road clash with plenty of confidence and that was justified in a crushing victory.
Andy Jones scored twice, while Robert Taylor and Dominic Ludden were also on target as Huddersfield had no answer to the O's power.
They could only muster one goal in reply as Orient made it three wins from three home games, with eight goals scored in the process.
However, the O's could not maintain their flying start, ending the campaign just outside the play-offs, missing out on the top six by virtue of goal difference.
Huddersfield were in mid-table, finishing with 60 points from their 46 games.
Leyton Orient 3 - 1 Huddersfield Town, March 24 1973
Another high scoring win over the Terriers came in the 1972/73 season, when both clubs were in the old second division.
Orient were enjoying their third season back at that level, while Huddersfield were facing a fight to hold on to their status - and the O's were in no mood for mercy.
5,497 came to Brisbane Road to witness a comfortable O's triumph, with Barrie Fairbrother, Peter Allen and Phil Hoadley on target for the home side.
Huddersfield were well beaten, and they also tasted defeat in their bid to dodge the drop, finishing second from bottom to suffer relegation on goal difference.
The O's, under George Petchey's management, were only three points, but six places clear of danger.
Leyton Orient 1 - 0 Huddersfield Town, December 9 2006
Our last home win over the Terriers came during the 2006/07 campaign, with the O's looking to establish themselves back in League 1.
They endured a difficult start to the campaign, picking up three League wins up until the start of December, but this victory gave them a welcome boost.
Gary Alexander was the man on target, heading home in the 28th minute to secure the points.
Martin Ling's Orient eventually found their feet and clung on to safety by four points, while the Terriers ended the season in 15th place.
