ORIENT manager Russell Slade has added to his squad ahead of Saturday's npower League 1 clash with Huddersfield Town by signing Millwall defender Andy Frampton on loan and former Southend striker James Walker on a three month contract.
Frampton, 31, joins on a one-month loan from Championship new boys Millwall. He played in their play-off final success over Swindon Town last term, but is yet to make his first appearance of the season.
He signed for the Lions in the summer of 2007, moving across London from Brentford to link up with the south Londoners.
He won their Player of the Year award in the 2008/09 season, but lost his place in the side to Tony Craig after suffering a calf injury midway through last season.
Born in Wimbledon, he has made 251 career League appearances for Crystal Palace, Brentford and the Lions.
Also signing for the O's ahead of the weekend is 22-year-old striker James Walker, who has penned a three-month deal after a trial period with the club.
The east Londoner enjoyed a spell on loan at Brisbane Road from Charlton in the 2006/07 season, scoring three goals in 16 games.
He played under Russell Slade on loan at Yeovil the next season, before leaving The Valley for Southend United in early 2008.
Having spent the end of last season at Gillingham, he will now be looking to kick on in League 1 again in E10.
Moving the other way is O's striker Adrian Patulea, who has joined Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Hayes & Yeading on a three-month loan deal.
The Romanian forward has struggled for first team opportunities in recent months, only making one substitute appearance since the start of the season.
O's boss Russell Slade said: "Andy signing on loan from Millwall solves the left back situation for us.
"I've had to play four different players at left back since the start of the season and that's not ideal - so Andy coming here solves that.
"James Walker has been training with us for the last couple of weeks and scored two goals for the reserves on Tuesday.
"I had James on loan at Yeovil and he did terrifically well for us, getting him a nice move to Southend.
"We need to get him back to that sort of standard again, which I'm sure we can do.
"And Adrian has gone to Hayes & Yeading on loan to get some football, which is important for him, getting him back to scoring goals."
