A SINGLE goal from Efe Echanomi was enough to give Orient's Youth Team their third win in four matches this season.

After opening their campaign with a trio of away games, the Os returned to home territory as Wycombe Wanderers visited the Douglas Eyre Centre in Walthamstow.

And in difficult conditions, Echanomi (pictured) struck for the second time this season with 18 minutes remaining to ensure that Alex Inglethorpe's team kept the points in east London.

"The pitch was dry and it was very windy so the match was always going to be scrappy, Inglethorpe said.

"The ball was difficult to control and we couldn't play as much attractive football as we have been doing but it was an important lesson for the boys to have to cope with that sort of surface.

"They dealt with it well in the end and Wycombe's manager said it would have been fairer had we won by more than one goal because we adapted better to the pitch.

"Wycombe had started the season well too so it was a tough game, but we're a difficult team to break down and Efe took his goal well in a one-on-one situation - in fact he could have scored a couple after carving out a few chances for himself."
