GARY KARSA'S 100 percent record as stand-in youth team coach continued on Saturday as the O's won 2-0 at Colchester.

Orient's under-18s have now won seven matches on the spin since Karsa took over - and goalkeeper Paul Jones, who this week has joined Exeter City on a 'work experience' basis, has kept six consecutive clean sheets.

Despite a slow start at the U's, Orient led at the break through Bryan Glover's first goal of the season.

Glover rose at the far post to head home a Jason Demetriou corner - and Demetriou then doubled the lead on the hour mark from the penalty spot after a foul in the box.

"We didn't start off so well and Colchester passed the ball around well but we settled down and it became an even contest, Karsa said.

"The lads are really flying at the moment and some of our second half play was excellent.

"We also had a boost with Shane Oakley coming on for the last 15 minutes for the first time this season after his serious heart operation and that's a great for us and for the lad.

Orient: Paul Jones; Greg Tiffin, Joe O'Cearuill, Bryan Glover, Aidan Palmer; Jason Demetriou, Brian Saah, Tommy Laxton, Derek Duncan; Prince Toku, Scott Wallis.
Subs: Tom Ziepe for Laxton (HT), Shane Oakley for Demetriou (75).

- Goalkeeper Jones will team up with his former youth team coach at Orient Alex Inglethorpe, who is now first team manager at Exeter City. Jones will train with the Grecians on a 'work experience' basis but will be eligible to play for the O's as well as City should Martin Ling want to recall him.

- The FA Youth Cup third round match against Shrewsbury Town will be played at Brisbane Road on Wednesday December 8, kick-off 7.45pm. Admission to the South Stand will be £3 adults and £1 concessions, with doors open from 7pm for admission to the bar.
