Aaron Brown made up for the disappointment of losing out in the League 2 play-offs with Aldershot Town last term by stepping up to the higher division with a move to east London. 27-year-old defender Aaron played under O's boss Russell Slade at Yeovil Town in the 2008/09 season and is keen to prove himself at League 1 level again after a nomadic 2009/10 campaign. He began the season at non-league Redditch United after being released by Yeovil - then under Terry Skiverton's management - and then played for Burton Albion, AFC Telford United and Truro City before making 14 League appearances for Aldershot and helping them to reach the play-offs. Standing 6'5'' tall, Aaron is an imposing defender who started in non-league with Stafford Rangers and Tamworth before earning his Football League chance with Reading in 2005. He was loaned to Bournemouth and Walsall during his time at the Madjeski Stadium, and after playing for five clubs last term, he will be hoping for more stability in the year ahead.
