SIMON DAWKINS, a 20-year-old striker, joined Orient on a six-month loan from Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the 2008/09 season.
Dawkins, who joined the Spurs academy full time in 2004, returned from an injury hit 2006/07 campaign to feature in 14 of the White Hart Lane club's 18 reserve games last term.
He was also part of the first team squad that travelled to Cyprus for a UEFA Cup tie against Anorthosis Famagusta, although he is yet to make his senior Spurs bow.
O's boss Martin Ling watched him on many occasions for the north Londoners' Brisbane Road-based second string last season and he was delighted to add him to his squad.
Dawkins' loan deal at Brisbane Road runs until January 3 2009.
