National Citizens Service Manager
£27,000 - full time one year contract
The Community Sports Programme is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated NCS Manager to organise and deliver our Summer 2012 National Citizens Service (NCS) project for 90 young people in Year 11 from across East London.
NCS is a voluntary eight-week summer programme for 16-year-olds that will promote:

a more cohesive society by mixing participants of different backgrounds

a more responsible society by supporting the transition into adulthood for young people

a more engaged society by enabling young people to work together to create social action projects in their local communities.
The key role of the manager is to lead the recruitment and retention of 90 young people, plan, organise and deliver the induction week, two one week residentials, a planning week and prepare the groundwork for successful four week social action projects.They will lead all aspects of the project with a small team including all administrative, budgeting and monitoring processes.
