Brighton & Hove Albion 2 - 2 Leyton Orient
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference

BRADLEY GRAY scored twice to help Orient's youth team come from behind and earn a 2-2 draw at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

The O's were unfortunate not to claim all three points against the Seagulls and youth team manager Kevin Nugent was pleased with their performance.

He said: "I thought it was the best performance that we've given since I took the job in the summer and were were unlucky not to win the game.

"We didnt have as many shots as last week, but our overall play was better and there are plenty of positives to take from the game."

Orient fell behind to an early Steve Cook goal from a set-piece, but they didn't lose their heads and were soon asserting themselves on the contest.

The visitors were on top, and although they didn't find a leveller before the break, they didn't have to wait long after the interval to make it 1-1.

Gray, who notched his first goal of the season in last week's defeat to Rushden, was the man to score the equaliser, finishing off a good move involving Harry Baker and Adam Marsh.

Brighton went back in front against the run of play when Steve Brinkhurst smashed in a 20-yard thunderbolt, but Gray hauled his side level again 20 minutes from time.

Baker was heavily involved once again, crossing well from the right for Gray to find the back of the net.

There only looked to be one winner from then on in, but Nugent's side couldn't force a third and they had to settle for a single point.

Orient: Michael Doyle; Brandon Martin, Frankie Webb, Tom Kemp, Matthew Hall; Harry Baker, Jack Page, Scott Grange (Loick Pires), Solomon Shields (Elliott Babbs); Adam Marsh (Henry Atu), Bradley Gray
