Youth Team Back To Winning Ways
Luton Town 2 - 4 Leyton Orient
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
ORIENT'S youth team ended an eight-game winless run with a convincing 4-2 victory over Luton Town on Saturday.
Kevin Nugent's team last tasted success at the end of September, but they banished the memories of that run by coming from behind to defeat the Hatters.
Adam Bolle (pictured - right) found the net twice and Nugent was delighted with the performance.
He said: "I'm really pleased for the players because we've had some good performances that have gone unrewarded this season.
"They never allowed their confidence to dip and we came out with a good win on Saturday.
"It's the perfect way to go into the Christmas break and it was an excellent performance."
Orient fell behind early on after conceding from a Luton set-play, but they came back strongly and equalised when Scott Grange fired home from 20 yards after a set piece of their own wasn't cleared.
The visitors then started to dominate and they went 2-1 up when Bolle followed in to finish after Loick Pires' shot was saved.
After a slow start to the second period, Luton levelled the game up again at 2-2, but Orient kicked on once more and bagged two more goals to confirm victory.
Centre half Frankie Webb made it 3-2, while Bolle struck his second of the game to add Orient's fourth.
Nugent was also delighted to see first year scholar Daryl Sydes complete 60 minutes as he got his season off to a belated start following injury.
