THE aims and targets for the Leyton Orient Centre of Excellence are to continue to produce quality, young footballers in a relaxed, safe, secure and enjoyable environment that will progress to the required level to represent our first team.
The development and progression of the Centre of Excellence will depend on the commitment, and positive attitudes of all players, parents and staff involved.
As well as the improvement of a player's football ability we also recognise the need to develop the personalities of these young people. This approach will hopefully encourage bright, polite, positive young players in the future.

In recent years the Centre of Excellence has been responsible for the development of first team players such as: Nicky Shorey, Gabriel Zakuani, Jabo Ibehre, Glenn Morris, Brian Saah, Aiden Palmer, Jason Demetriou and Efe Echanomi to name but a few.
Within the Leyton Orient Youth Development Programme we hold a strong belief of developing the individual player's development. This means that the progression of the individual is more important than the results in any of our fixtures. We are constantly reviewing and finding new ways of taking this programme forward, whilst constantly setting and maintaining high standards which we also demand that all players do likewise in order to reach their potential.
