Bolle Goal Maintains Unbeaten Run
Rushden & Diamonds 1 - 1 Leyton Orient
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
ADAM BOLLE'S second half equaliser earned Orient's youth team a point at Rushden & Diamonds and stretched their unbeaten run to five games.
The O's fell behind to their Northamptonshire hosts, but showed good character to claim a share of the spoils and youth team manager Kevin Nugent was pleased with the result.
He said: "It was a scrappy game played in difficult conditions, but we defended well in the first half and showed good heart to come back into it after conceding first.
"Harry Baker put over a number of good crosses that we didn't take full advantage of, but we did well to come from behind."
Both goals came after the break from dead ball situations. Rushden took the lead after scoring from a free-kick, but the O's didn't let their heads drop and they levelled when Bolle converted from a corner.
