O's Ease Past Fellow High-Flyers
Leyton Orient 3 - 1 Gillingham
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
BRADLEY GRAY, Adam Marsh and Loick Pires were all on target as Orient's youth team eased past fellow high-flyers Gillingham.
The O's made it four straight wins with this victory, closing the gap on the second-placed Gills in the process.
Youth team manager Kevin Nugent said: "It was a good, solid performance and we controlled large parts of the game.
"We looked physically strong and fit and we played with a lot of confidence.
"Gillingham put us under some pressure in the second half, but we weathered the storm and it's a pleasing result."
The only sour note on a successful afternoon for the O's was the dismissal of Loick Pires for retaliating to a challenge.
