Leyton Orient 4 - 2 Peterborough United
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference

ADAM MARSH'S hat-trick moved Orient's youth team to within three points of league leaders Queens Park Rangers - with the two clubs set to meet this weekend.

Marsh's (pictured) treble helped Orient overcome a 2-1 deficit to defeat Peterborough United and record their seventh victory from 9 games.

Orient started brightly and took the lead when March got across his man to head Harry Baker's free kick home.

But Peterborough came back into the contest and scored twice thanks to some sloppy defending from the hosts.

The O's struggled to get going after the break, but the introduction of schoolboy Jake Argent from the bench helped swing the game back in their favour, with the substitute slamming home a rebound to level the scores.

Orient pushed on well and were rewarded when Marsh converted from a Baker corner. Marsh then completed the scoring to set the seal on an excellent victory.

Youth team manager Kevin Nugent said: "It was the youngest side we've put out all season and they did well to come from behind and win the game.

"That moves us to within three points of QPR and hopefully we can wipe out that deficit when we face them on Saturday."
