O's Come Unstuck At Brighton
Brighton & Hove Albion U18 3 - 0 Leyton Orient U18
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference
ORIENT fell to their first defeat of the season when they travelled to Brighton & Hove Albion last Saturday.
The O's gave as good as they got in the first half and came close to taking the lead through Adam Bolle.
But James Smith scooped the ball into the roof of the net four minutes before the interval and Orient never recovered from the setback.
Two minutes after the interval George Barker doubled the advantage, while Liam Upton's header made it 3-0.
O's youth team manager Kevin Nugent said: "It was a tight first half and it was a defensive slip that allowed Brighton to take the lead before half time.
"The second half started evenly too until another lapse at the back cost us and the game seemed to drift away from us after that.
"We ended up losing 3-0, but it was a better performance than that and it was a good learning curve for the lads."
