Leyton Orient 2 - 3 Dagenham & Redbridge
Puma Youth Alliance South East Conference

ORIENT'S saw an interval lead go to waste as they fell to a 3-2 defeat against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.

Musa Manneh and Adam Marsh were on the scoresheet for the O's, but it was not enough to give them a positive result and youth team manager Kevin Nugent was disappointed with the performance.

"It was a poor result," he said.  "We were good in the first half and led 2-1, but we let our concentration drop after half time and were punished.

"The second half performance wasn't up to the standard required and it ended up being a bad day all around."

The O's did, however, get off to a decent start and went in front when Manneh converted Brandon Martin's cross at the far post.

Dagenham levelled, but Orient were soon back in front thanks to Marsh's finish from a Harry Baker corner.

But that was as good as it got for the O's, who saw a potential three points slip through their grasp as the visitors scored from two set plays to claim a 3-2 victory.

Orient: Jack Giddens; Brandon Martin, Ajet Shehu, George Artemi, Ryan Nelson; Harry Baker, Joseph Boakye, Matt Hall, Musa Manneh (Ope Aramona 70); Jake Argent, Adam Marsh
